  Carl Schroeder moved to Hilton Head Island in 1976 from California, after 5 years in the Army and earning his MBA at the University of Utah. He purchased a home on Hilton Head Island and immediately became involved in the real estate business through his first job as Sales Manager for a local real estate company. Those were brilliant moves in both life style and business. Carl earned the Graduate of the Realtor's Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Broker (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Shortsale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) designations from the National Association of Realtors and was named the 1983 and 1986 Hilton Head Island Realtor of the Year. He also earned the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation from the National Association of Home Builders, was honored as the 2001 Hilton Head Island HBA Builder Member of the Year and is a member of the EPA's WaterSense and EnergyStar programs. Carl notes, "I continue my education through my involvement with the local Association of Realtors® and Home Builders Association and am a certified South Carolina Instructor for 10 Realtor® continuing education courses.
