The Final Fantasy 14 Tabletop RPG will come out in May 2024, according to Square Enix. The Square Enix Store is now taking preorders, which start at $59.99. On the front of the box for the Final Fantasy 14 Tabletop RPG were a pair of Roegadyn and a Hyur Midlander, two races from the highly acclaimed MMORPG. In the art, there were also characters from other races, like the Lalafell and the Miqo'te. The Final Fantasy 14 TTRPG Starter Set will come with 16 dice (6d20 and 10d6), premade character sheets for Jobs like Warrior and Black Mage, an encounter map, and some marks and books that players and game masters can use during the game.

Square Enix said that the Final Fantasy 14 TTRPG Starter Set is for three to five people, and they suggested that a group of five players play together. Along with the starting set, you will be able to buy a rule book and a game master guide at a later date. At the time this article was written, it wasn't clear if the Final Fantasy 14 Tabletop RPG would use its own rules or if it would use rules from other games like Pathfinder or a Dungeons and Dragons version.

Due to the popularity of Dungeons and Dragons, Baldur's Gate 3, and the web series Critical Role, the board RPG genre doesn't seem to be slowing down. Only time will tell if fans of both the Final Fantasy series and board RPGs will like the Final Fantasy 14 board RPG.
