George O'Neil joined CWCapital as Vice President in June 2005 when the firm was a growing $5 billion, private commercial mortgage banker and primary loan servicing firm. He is now Managing Director, Risk Management, at CW Financial Services and all affiliated companies, where he manages all corporate risk exposures for foreclosed property, commercial real estate, special servicing, insurance compliance, business continuity and all associated claims matters. Over the past decade, he managed a growing risk portfolio that at it's peak reached $45 billion with over $18 billion of REO directly insured via master insurance programs. In addition, Mr. O'Neil heads ConvergentRisk, a specialty risk management and insurance services firm that provides risk management services to the commercial real estate sector.

George was formally trained as a commercial underwriter by Chubb & Son, Inc. in their New York office and over an eight-year period, held successive roles with other firms in positions of increasing responsibility in commercial property and casualty underwriting, assuming roles as a line underwriter, staff supervisor, underwriting manager and product executive, ultimately serving as head of International with AIG/Lexington Insurance Company (NYSE:AIG) and later division head of Diversified Property for RLI Insurance Company (NYSE:RLI).

Mr. O'Neil is a graduate of Salve Regina University, Newport, RI where he earned an M.Sc. in Management, he also holds a B.Sc. in Business from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, and an A.A.Sc. in Aerospace Control Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, Gunther, AL. In addition, he holds financial, risk and insurance professional designations to include Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter® (CPCU®), Associate in Risk Management® (ARM®), Certified Risk Manager® (CRM®) and Certified Insurance Counselor® (CIC®).
