O1 Communications was founded in 1998 as a California-based CLEC to provide next generation data telecommunications services to Internet Service Providers (ISPs). O1 quickly became one of the largest dial access providers to ISPs in California. O1 continues to serve wholesale bandwidth and PSTN trunking to telecom service providers today.

The company is now in the midst of a 12-state expansion, with Georgia being the first state to be up and running. Soon following will be: Texas, New York, Illinois, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, Oregon, Washington, and Michigan.

O1’s SIP services include origination and termination, turnkey VoIP services, and national/international termination. O1 responds to the very specific needs of service providers and CLECs by working with them to design solutions based on their unique requirements. O1 helps VoIP providers create cost-effective peering arrangements with the flexibility to route SIP sessions to a single provider for national termination.

O1 is a privately held corporation that funds its own growth through positive cash flow and limited financing. The company has been consecutively profitable since 2000. O1’s streamlined business model allows the company to respond proactively to market and customer demands. In 2002, O1 Communications was named the fastest growing company in Sacramento by the Sacramento Business Journal. In 2004, Inc. Magazine named O1 one of the 500 fastest growing companies in the United States.
