About

I have spent the last 20 years specialising in large industrial site environmental management for various companies and am working for Tata Steel. I previously enjoyed a 2 year environmental management systems development and auditing role for the U.S. Air Force and spent around 10 years performing air emissions monitoring and EHSQ management system and auditing in the Titanium Dioxide industry. These roles have been interesting, covering legal compliance, project and lab management including data analysis, abatement systems improvement, Air Quality Management Area’s (AQMA’s), legislative management and environmental, health, safety and quality issue management - so have been very varied.

The roles have included many certification requirements - ISO14001, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, Corporate Responsibility, European Eco Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), Ecolable, regulatory industrial permits, U.S. Air Force Environmental Compliance and Management Program (ECAMP), and environmental reporting.

I have completed an MSc in Integrated Environmental Management, am a registered auditor with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), and completed the National Examination board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) certificate. I decided to specialise in Integrated Management System development within my MSc and roles and recently focused on air quality issues around the steel works developing air quality improvement projects, compliance management, local air quality monitoring and triangulation techniques.
