One of the major investments that many organizations make is purchasing a packaging system. As such, it is important that the equipment purchased be the very best there is. In addition, you want to ensure that the seed packing machine fits well into your manufacturing process. In order to do that, you will need to evaluate the following before contacting the seed packing machine manufacturer:

3. Interlock Switches
Many pieces of equipment will use doors as a shield or guard, as described above. When doors are used, interlock switches can provide an added safety device. Returning to the bottle rinser or filling machine, either may use doors shield the operator from the rinsing or filling process. Should anyone open these doors during the rinse cycle or fill cycle, the seed packing machine would immediately stop the cycle and shut down, protecting against damage or personal injury.
4. Various Machine Sensors
From count eyes to anti-bottle back up vision systems, sensors can be used all along a packaging line to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the packaging equipment. Count sensors, for example, can be used to ensure the correct number of bottles or other containers are lined up under fill heads before product is released from the tank or bulk supply. This helps to avoid no bottle fills, spills and splashes that could be harmful to the equipment or, depending on the product and atmosphere, the operators as well. Anti-back up sensors will turn off upstream equipment when a problem is seen further down the line. Should a labeling machine become jammed, these sensors will turn off or pause production on filling and capping equipment under the jam is cleared, also avoiding spills, damaged bottles, or even broken equipment should excessive back pressure become too great.
5. Warning Beacons and Alarm Screens
Warning beacons simply provide an easy way for a single operator to keep an eye on an entire packaging line. Lines that include a bottle unscrambler, rinsing machine, liquid filler, capping machine, labeler and packing equipment cannot be completely monitored by a single individual at all times. If the operator were checking on the unscrambler at the beginning of the packaging line, a quick glance at the warning beacon on the labeling machine allows that same operator to know everything is running smoothly. Alarm screens also assist the operator in troubleshooting. These screens are found on the operator interface of almost all automatic equipment that uses a PLC. These screens will direct the operator to the problem area while also needing to be cleared before resuming production, in effect shutting down the machine for safety reasons until the issue at hand is resolved.
