Developing websites since 1992, Shelley became the first webmaster of pepsi.com (1996-1998) while working for Pepsi's interactive advertising agency, Tribal DDB (formerly DDB Needham Interactive Communications). During her tenure at Tribal DDB, Shelley worked on interactive banner ads for various clients, screensavers and other interactive media with other brand tie-ins such as Lucasfilm, NASCAR and World Cup.

Shelley left Tribal DDB to become the first webmaster for the city of Denton, TX - streamlining the site on a new Content Management System and maintaining the Macintosh computers owned by the city. During her tenure at the city of Denton, she also worked part time (and later full-time) with Apple, with duties ranging from computer repair to teaching classes.

After her nearly 8 year tenure with the city of Denton, Shelley became the first webmaster for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. Since she started at C-FB ISD in 2006, Shelley transitioned the previously static website to a proprietary CMS and most recently, designed an entirely new version of the site in English and Spanish, all on an open-source platform. Shelley also takes photographs for the district.

Shelley continues to learn new technologies and work on various projects ranging from freelance photography to freelance web design and from consultation to data mining.
