According to the Department of Disease Control (DDC), the Public Health Ministry is expected to lift the face mask rules and cancel related fines within the next two to three weeks. The Communicable Diseases Committee (NCDC), according to DDC Director-General Thares Krasnairawiwong, has completed a draught of the announcement, which does not require Cabinet consideration but only the Public Health Minister's endorsement. The move, which comes less than a month after the government cancelled the pandemic's emergency declaration, reflects that the risk of Covid-19 has been decreasing.
